Indoctrination Thursday is our's again this week. Reply here so I can get an idea of who is going to be coming and what we might like to try to teach.
ATR, if you are going to be unable to run it this week, I can take the reins again. I did a crash course in mosquitoes last week. I'm inclined to suggest liberators this week, however the mossie stuff was by no means exhaustive.

I will be coming. I think we should cover Liberators. Mossies imo are easier to learn and use then Liberators. Heck, most people use them as Taxis. But Libbies require alot of teamwork and cooperation and skill.

Might be a decent opportunity to try running a solid libby pack - i.e. a pair of zypher libs being supported by a pair of shredder libs and maybe a dalton thrown in. Rolling 5 libs together and focusing the same target could be pretty awesome.

Ya I def would love that. Maybe instead of shredder libs just daltons. Use the daltons to kill off enemy air

I'd really like to try shredders operating about 200 meters above the ground attack libs giving them cover. Daltons are cool for anti-air, but have to be purchased and have a steep skill curve. We should try both, for sure.

I actually have never used shredders so its a good time to learn about them. So lets do that

We can find ourselves a tank column and obliterate it

Another application that I'd like to see would be facility AA suppression. We run into real trouble at air towers with all the maxes and turrets that can be stacked up there. Libs in a group of 4 or 5 could bring enough firepower to bear (if coordinated) that they could possible suppress the enemy air.
Also, since galaxies always seem to be juicy targets even when 1/12 - Using a galaxy or two to draw fire away from the direction the libs are attacking from could be really powerful. Having spec ops set up to pull a gal or two and even drop some infantry on the tower to distract while the libs start their run...
There is some real opportunity here.

I pulled wife aggro last night - I'm going to be late to this. Any word from ATR on whether he will be present?

Don't worry I will be around. When do we usually start the indoctrination?

5:30 PST/8:30 EST. Format is usually a quick review of the modules available, the recommended fits that skywatch promotes (if any) and then some practice. Mention that people who are typically dedicated gunners are usually called upon to have their own lib built so that if the pilot's is on cooldown, the team can still pull one.
Obviously the actual op is up to you, but I suggest starting small to get the group used to flying together - maybe even have people grab libs in the VR training room and going over the importance of keeping good spacing.
Thanks for stepping up Hans!
We might just have to push the lib squadron test to a Friday night ops - the ratio of rookies to skywatch is going to be pretty high tonight, probably.
