For those of you who haven't figured it out, or were actually convinced of my argument in favor of joining the Pups, this was all complete bullshit. I've got no fucking idea what the Doggies command structure is like, though the part about EvilPig being a pretty cool dude is true. April fools, y'all.
As you all know, I've been involved with other factions as a result of Traitor Tuesdays. In particular, after my last showdown with Talron, where the 666 showed up and unintentionally assisted our victory, I got in contact with EvilPig to explain what that whole incident was all about.
I joined the Devil Dogs to investigate how they operate and what they're all about. As all of you have no doubt noticed in the past few weeks, their organization and skill has improved a lot since the early days of the game when they were a massive, unskilled zerg. They've started to adopt a command structure that's increasingly similar to ours- a few core leaders who can delegate organization to subcommanders, and they're more open than they used to be to promoting more people into their leadership. That's really been a big part of their improvement- more leaders.
I know that during the TTA leadership meeting there was strong condemnation of any TR helping the enemy get organized like this, but I started being a part of the 666 before we ever had that meeting, so...
And besides, it's really rewarding for me to make this game better for others as a leader. When I lead you guys, whether a squad, a platoon, or Spec Ops, my goal is always to make the game as fun for y'all as possible, plus, I really enjoy the RTS sort of metagame that goes along with executing a strategy. That's why, when EvilPig offered me the opportunity to lead a squad of the 666, I accepted. With my extensive resume of leadership experience and knowledge of the TR and their tactics, he knew I'd be effective. EvilPig himself is actually a really chill dude, and is fun to work with. The upper leadership that I hang out with on their TeamSpeak are also really cool- it's a lot like hanging out with you guys, but I get to meet new people in new contexts.
So, if you've noticed that I haven't been around on our Teamspeak quite as much lately, or that I've been AFK in it, that's what I've been up to. I'm thinking of committing more time to the 666, because honestly, it's really a lot of fun. Being a part of an outfit that size is a totally different experience. You'll still be seeing me plenty, and I'll be here on the weekends, and certainly for Friday Night Ops, I'm just exploring all the different things I can do with this game.
Thanks for understanding!
