Been playing some cooperative campaigns in Rome 2. Then I had this victory. The enemy had 75% of his force left, and then routed. Deployed 2464, lost 227, killed 3941. Enemy killed 70. I killed more of my own units. Attachments:

It's almost like that game is terribly broken

We rampaged 2 units of African war elephants into a mass of spear levies and slingers bottled up in a town square. There were 3 roads heading out of town - two had (simulated) real-life monsters stomping on farmers with spears and 1 looked open until they rounded the corner and got charged by 3 units of cavalry.
The entire army routed and tried to funnel 3000 men down what amounted to an alley-way. The line of dead bodies stretched down the coast for nearly a mile.

Literally the perfect assault. Could not have gone much better. I probably could have saved some friendlies by not letting elephants rampage through my own lines, but hey. Victory requires sacrifice.

Youll never win a co op campaign on anything but easy. Total war always cheats

One day. We have Spain left, and the Italian peninsula. I'd say rome, but as far as I remember the other states in the Italian peninsula are not all Rome. I'm fairly certain we're playing on normal.
We managed to out the tech everyone fairly early, which is odd, but that made a huge difference. As well, starting as Egypt and the Seleucid empire was excellent as they both have strong starts, and good relations, being Hellenic and all that. Our only serious threat thus far has been one of the numerous barbarian nations in the far east, but since they lack the ability to hold their ground in battle lines and the AI can't master hit and run once you engage a unit in melee that really closed off that conflict.
Even Carthage has been quite easy, although in our "history" Carthage was rapidly eclipsed by New Carthage.
In hindsight, the game is an excellent alternate history or fictional history generator. I think the next challenge will need to be as one of the numerous nomadic steppe nations. Low late game tech level, and only modest melee staying power, and shit-tastic diplomacy. Or make an iceni/Gaul alliance. That'd be extremely interesting.
