Hey all,
Over the next few weeks I am going to be developing some guides beginning with starter tips for your loadout, game setup, thought process and a few other things. I will also be detailing some of my decision making as I enter certain areas of the game.
I'm reaching out to TxR to ask what would you like to see. Also, those that believe they are at a high skill level what do you think I should be covering.
Thanks for any input, Justin 'Rampd' Evans

Start with the basics - What class makes you the most certs as a new-player and what should you spend your first 1000 certs on.

Yeah, the scopes thing would be handy with a focus on if/how they improve accuracy.

I would lean towards doing the certing otherwise. There are tons of excellent shooting guides, but I haven't seen much on anything otherwise. I would do a "50 in 50" style guide; rank 50 by 50 hours played, or something to that concept. Not a lot out there for how to effectively play each class, insofar as maximizing score/hour.

Was looking to make it specifically for members of TxR. Wasn't planning to make it for the public just something that we can use collectively as an outfit.

If it's internal I'd go into detail. Get some metrics, go into detail, and don't be afraid to put it into context. Most of our players are over 100 hours of play, and at least BR 40. Lots of good resources exit for getting raw data about the game. All gun data is here, albeit out of date. I've been looking for a new version but from what I gather online the dev's have been trying to squash a hard numbers game on things like this. Could try the wiki. As for weapons stats(kills, at what range, etc.), that could be a bit tougher. I'm sure SOE collects that stuff, but good luck finding it. The general theme being providing data driven answers that wouldn't be given by gut feeling or instinct. Sometimes the gut is wrong. I think some solid weapons testing would be good however. I'd try to find long-medium-short range brackets, and given them answers by play style. (IE spray and pray, damage per shot for those excellent twitch shooters, etc.)

If you spend time on YouTube, there are already several great gun guides that really get into the nitty gritty. There are also expansive spread sheets detailing raw gun data. If you want to make a TXR only video, I would recommend a series more oriented to how TXR operates. Examples of FNO tactics, common practices, teamspeak protocol. A guide that would help new TXR smooth the transition from rookie to asset
