Code of Conduct for Skywatch Members:
While the new badges are intended to denote proficiency, it is still understood that Specialists are expected to represent the best of TxR. As such, those who want to earn their wings (or keep them) will be expected to display the following characteristics:
1.) Be a member in good standing of Total Recoil. 2.) Be willing to follow the instructions of your flight leads and air commanders. 3.) Be willing to spend certification points on your aircraft to fulfill the needs of the unit. 4.) Be as active in the game as possible. 5.) Be respectful of other players, including other outfits, or factions. We deserve respect by showing respect. 6.) Be willing to attend training as able. 7.) Must have Teamspeak and a mic to communicate. 8.) Be familiar with your role within a given operation and support the outfit at all times. 9.) Be willing to sacrifice kills, experience, certs, or prestige for the good of the unit during operations. 10.) Share what you learn with the group and work to improve the air squadron through your experience. 11.) Active members will be expected to help recruits settle into the unit. Be friendly, be helpful. Everyone was new at some point. This is a privilege and an obligation to train our new recruits.

I don't qualify for my wings yet, what do I do?
No problem. The new system is to denote proficiency, not membership. If you haven't earned your wings yet, you are encouraged to fly with Skywatch during outfit events. There are 3 opportunities a week to fly with the group. You are encouraged to make as many as possible.
The stat that will take the longest to achieve is likely the 20 hours. Everything else should be fairly easily accomplished during those 20 hours. The best thing to do if you want to earn your wings is to fly.
I had a Skywatch badge, but now I don't, what gives?
All Skywatch badges are to be wiped. There is a new application process you'll need to go through to earn back your wings. We are starting with a clean slate. Those of you who are currently active pilots and meet our minimum requirements should have no trouble getting your wings back immediately.
Why all this hassle?
This is part of a larger over-haul of the outfit by the leadership to streamline everything from Ranks to Divisions. The division leaders decided to change the way division membership worked and to introduce new requirements for maintaining that membership. The goal is to make it very easy for squad leaders or platoon leaders to glance at TS and know who is good at what.
I've got my badge, now what?
Fly with Skywatch regularly. Earn other badges. Have fun. These badges are simply a way to tell other people that you know your stuff when it comes to certain specialties.
I just joined and the Review is next week!
Don't sweat it, you'll be fine. Maintenance requirements are meant to be reasonable checks on activity, not draconian deadlines to be mindlessly enforced.
I went inactive and now my badges are missing, why am I being punished?
Losing a specialty badge isn't a punishment, just a result of a need to maintain proficiency. Getting your badges back is easy. Simply fill out 5 copies of form 21B2 (revised edition 2014), wait 3 months for delivery and...ha, wrong outfit. Post proof that you've met your maintenance requirement for the current quarter (listed in membership requirements) and you'll get your badges back. Welcome home!
