Anyone going to be playing it? Preorder is a bit steep, but it could be good. I like the exploration segment, which is something key to an Elder Scrolls game. Perhaps more importantly, it looks like it'll have a strong setting(I'd expect nothing less), which should keep me interested for some time. Gameplay:

I think I will be saving my money instead of pre-ordering. I am more excited about EQN and EQNL than ESO. But who knows, it could be good. If people review it and I get to see more actual gameplay then I might buy it.

Agreed. I think I'll wait for the next open beta rather than spend some money.

Still thinking about it. Will decide in the next few days. Leaning towards yes, especially since they offering AC: Blackflag for free with the Imperial pre-order.

Here is an unboxing of the Imperial Edition.
Personal Opinions about the game coming from Beta/Recent Info about it:
It will be a good game. That said I won't be playing it because, while I feel it will be fun for a month, it is not worth $15/m + cash shop (even if it is for Cosmetics/mounts). The combat felt weak, the quests are on a lineage 2 style grind, and the something about the world felt lacking. I have heard that in the most recent beta test that they made the world feel a little more like the ES games we love (unsure how- but they probably added more roaming NPCs which was lacking before and the world felt empty). I'm also afraid that the way it is setup right now people will be burned out of the game within a month. It does have decent graphics and character creation has a good variety of options. I can see this game being fun if you play it with a group more than by yourself. Which may be a problem if your friends want to be a race in the Aldmeri Dominion Faction and you want to be a race in the Daggerfall Covenant or Ebonhart Pact due to the constant PvP. I'm sure there is a way to work around it.
TL;DR: Decent game with a lot of hype, but it is too pricey ($60 Standard or 99$ Imperial box + 15/m and vanity cash shop) for what it seems to be providing.
My suggestion: Wait at least week or two after release. There will more than likely be server issues (they are going with MegaServers which may be unstable). Reviews will be out and along with that actual gameplay YouTube footage.

Or we can wait six months for it to crash and go free to play, and shit all over the people who previously purchased it a la Warhammer Online, Star Trek Online, SWTOR, et cetera ad nauseum.

It uses the same engine as SWTOR. I think this might be another TORtanic. I'm actually liking the new Everquest though.

As for my impressions, was less than impressed. Had a good time at first, but then got really bored. Feels standard MMO stuff, not anything different. Truth be told, it felt tired.

My thoughts exactly. I've been in the beta since august, and I used to think that they were going to add a ton of stuff but it really doesn't feel like they've added much since then. The game is definitely more MMO than it is TES.

I really like it, its a similar to GWs with the action bar being limited, the graphics are great, the game play keeps you interested. I play on buying it soon, going with the deluxe to get the sexy imp gear. What fraction are you guys thinking about going. NORDS?

What fraction?
I'm gunna play 2/3.
I'll give it another beta and see how it feels. I did like the tanking class a bit, and I wouldn't mind an MMO.

Yeah I give up on this game. I"m just gonna wait it out until they make The Elder Scrolls 6 or whatever. I don't see myself wasting $15 a month on this
