Something I can add, that I see he didnt do. Battlefields are three dimensional. You need to be adding up and down movements, to ensure that enemies above and below don't rape your soul.

Something I can add, that I see he didnt do. Battlefields are three dimensional. You need to be adding up and down movements, to ensure that enemies above and below don't rape your soul. You are correct, 100% and at the same time this is done on a case by case basis. Windows are a dangerous area, period. They're hard to protect and even harder to avoid. "Pieing" it is one way to do it, another way is to bypass it by going low or underneath. It's a fatal funnel and really requires getting out of the danger zone in the most expedient way possible. By all means cover it the best you can, but get out of the way too. In other words, there's more than one way to skin a cat. In this game, covering windows is a plus because well we have shields and nanites. In the case of covering a window and using it as a firing position, we need to keep in mind scanning techniques. The great thing about being a tanker is the fact that most of our techniques transfer almost directly into infantry techniques. Our gunners were always taught to use a few different methods and those methods were situation dependent and boiled down to preference. One was the "Z" method which basically meant that you scanned your sector in that manner. You could almost call it a figure 8 if you mirror the pattern going back to the top. There's also the "W" pattern which is the same as the "Z" only it's a W! Pretty self explanatory. Also, the box method. I'm not breaking that down barney style. Either way, these scanning methods keep you from getting tunnel vision on a specific part of your sector. It covers the high, the low, and the in between. These are great things to keep in mind when pulling security on an enemy spawn or really anywhere and especially if you in a constant state of aiming down the sights to keep accuracy. Bottom line in all this, STAY ALERT!
