Alright, so for the moment, I'm going to lock in next monday as training ops for skywatch.
I'll edit this first post quite a bit based on feedback in this thread, such as attendance numbers and whatnot. Anyway:
Schedule 08:30-08:35 - Ops start, commence briefing, and pairing up for the night. The pairs can be organised prior to the training, but it'd probably be better if you're okay with working with anybody.
08:35-09:15 - Switch to, depending on conditions, amerish, and we'll be doing some fairly quick (reletavely) ground attack training, lining up attack vectors and whatnot, this will be done in pairs, and we'll probably use base turrets initially. This is for both mossies, and libbies, although you'll likely be doing different sorts of target and acquisition practice. For this section, you'll probably focusing on either air or ground support. (Note: if VR is up by this point, we might instead head there, depending on situation and whatnot.)
09:15-10:25 - For this hour, we'll pretty much be running alongside the main ops, seeing whether we can put what we've practiced to use. Effectively, we'll be operating as skywatch normally for this hour or so.
10:25 - We'll have a quick meeting to discuss what did work, what didn't, those who want to leave can leave, and we'll probably continue for an hour or two before numbers drop to the point where we just roll into main platoon/squad.
So yeah, it's pretty much just a rough thing at the moment, and times and locations are pretty much still completely fluid. Feedback/Suggestions would be pretty grand.

Looks excellent, ATR. I am looking forward to this. Should be a great start to our training.

So how was the training? I missed it but it would be cool if someone did a write up of how it went.

I'd say that it fell apart fairly quickly. I did learn that Atrgeist and I have different understandings of what "a little aa" means.
Fun was that we appeared to run into an nc air training op and ruined it.
This wasn't on the agenda, but I did learn not to bother shooting the default lib nose gun at a scythe and that a lib with just one rank of NAS can stay in the air forever.

It went well for a first outing. ATR had a good schedule. We were hampered a little by some interference and losing mosquitos. Also, better attendance might help, but it is hard to get everyone online at once. We just need more skywatch members.
We focused on some ground attack training, pairing up and practicing hitting targets together. There is only so much you can do with making passes at turrets, though. We took the fight to Indar after our training and had a nice little air battle at Regent Rock. It was difficult for the ground attack guys to continue that practice, but I had a hell of a time protecting the libs (as best I could...lost 2 that were under my watch).
I imagine it was a good learning experience for ATR; I know it was for me. It was our first practice and I think we'll have a better idea of how best to organize them in the future.
Crashing 666's training was awesome. I got to blow a 666T (training alts) galaxy out of the sky after he rammed our lib and then report him.
With the new VR area coming up today, we might end up with a better place to play and practice. I'd like to see us practice dogfighting in pairs - working on wingman support, spacing, and such. We can't hurt each other, but it shouldn't be too hard to work on gunnery during dog fights; you should know when you're hitting and when you aren't.
TL;DR - Good first practice, they will only get better.
