After Action Review of Spec Ops for Feb 2nd.
First let me apologize for my performance in the later half of the night. I had unexpected guests and it effected my game play. Sorry about that.
We started out really strong this time. That's something that gets my rocks off.
As the night goes on we always lose a couple of members or even worse we start with less than we intended (12). This needs to be resolved. I would rather take a non-trained player than an unfilled squad.
One complaint is about managing revives. There is now an indicator if you are being rezzed which *SHOULD* drastically cut down on the medic chatter of "X, I'm bringing you up". Please pay attention to this as we don't always have the luxuries of a full platoon such as ample spawn locations or good positioning from the spawn location.
My final word is with how small fire teams of 2-3 people advance. I like holding down the shift key as much as the next guy. When theres no contact reported and no movement sighted that's fine I'll do it too. The moment we know there's contact you should start covering your squaddies. We do pretty good at this when we're on a point but we're atrocious at it when moving between points.
Basically all you have to do is slow down for a second while that medic behind you catches up. If you do not stop then that means I can't stop which means we are very easily flanked due to a lack of awareness of our surroundings. Blah blah piss and moan you get the idea.
