Hey guys, so upon brainstorming some things we can do within Skywatch I came up with a pretty nifty idea (in theory). The plan essentially makes a mobile refueling station for our mossies that allows us to resupply and recover in a safe location that is closer than an air tower. The strategy requires a mobile AMS sundy with the ammo resupply feature as well as a couple dual burster AA MAX's. An engineer will drive to a close, but safe, location near our engagement and set up along with the AA MAX's. This Sundy can serve as a resupply for ammo and a no-fly zone for the enemies because of the MAX's. The engineer can assist the MAX's with ammo and repairs as well as repair incoming mossies and possibly even stay inside the turrets to help with firepower. This strategy would allow us to get in the fight a lot faster as well as supply us with a safe zone in which to lead enemy tails into. Let me know what you think and if it is something we could try out or make improvements upon.

Great idea, we definitely gotta try that!

This is a good idea. I refueled a few times friday night using the Prowler Pack's sundy. Aside from the danger of it being a front line kind of thing and having to worry about incoming tank rounds, it was pretty easy.
Having one a little further back with Burster max support would be really cool.
Baiting is always a fun strategy. Baiting in a direction that isn't obviously an air tower? I think that could work really well.

I think this is an awesome idea, but we must pay attention to three very important factors when using this tactic. Location, location, location!

Interested in some Co-op practice with the Prowler Pack? I'm sure setting up a refueling station with Skywatch crewman would take away pilots that could be more useful in the sky. Prowler Pack never takes to the field without a Ammo Sundy so why not practice using the Prowler Pack as a refueling station?
Prowler Pack general strategy is to keep the Sunderer safe behind the tank line and the tanks rule-of-thumb is to always engage targets at extreme distance so we're usually in a safe place for resupply. We can coordinate the Prowler Packs position as a refueling point for your mossies and the Prowler Pack runs only engineers so we will have Engineers on hand to repair your mossies.

Interesting idea Hereticus, im def. down to try this next fri. The only issue I see is that as a pilot, coming in hot from an engagement, I need to be certain that repair/resupply location is 100% TR dominated and away from any enemies LOS. A sundy with several tanks coming in for resupply, may be too vulnerable.

This should be no problem honestly. With the new changes to the way Anchor Mode works, Prowlers have become sniping tanks. I went on a 51 kill streak before dying tonight, and the kill counter doesn't even include vehicle kills. And, we can always park whoever is on repair/reload duty 100 meters back.

We can def try it out. We typically park our sundy behind a mountain side or big obstruction which allows us to break LoS as well as surprise them with any anti-air we have as they come around (provided they chased us). As mentioned by Kfresh we try to park it pretty far from the actual battle, but i think with the threat of prowler pack and any we have on standby from Skywatch that may be enough to deter any opposition. It would be great also if you have a skyguard on duty with it as well. We only launch the sundy location if we had a couple guys on cooldown or out of resources but if you are willing to supply the repair sundy and ammo sundy we will be more than happy to take advantage. Any Skywatch members on standby will stay at that location as well and they can help with any repairs your prowler pack needs too. I think both our divisions working together will benefit the both of us. (Plus we can keep a more watchful eye on those precious tanks from mean-ol-libs).
I will talk to Hereticus about any details needed to be hashed out as soon as time permits.
