I like the Tech-Plant breakdown very much, only problem is that if the Gunbridge is active your drop gets destroyed on landing.

Yeah, really like the tech plant routes and the points for turrets. Doing this with our balcony defense could be awesome. As long as the gun deck is down or at least unmanned, i could see the drop working. Could drop on the gun deck and get the same effect, however. Gain immediate access to those elevators.

Currently our strat for taking a Tech-Plant involves dropping on the Gunbridge to neutralize that threat then move down to the mid-section to the balcony then A point....
Your proposed path shaves off 30-45 second, maybe even a full minute if its a large or coordinated TTA drop but again it ignores the Gunbridge leaving it as a threat to the main TR advance.
Highly recommend TXR Squad and Platoon leaders explore this proposed paths

Essentially, they knew we were coming through the back on the balcony. I shaved about a squad and a half off to go directly down the elevators, and had them come up the stairs and towards the balcony while the main force breached the back door of balcony. It worked very well. I would only use the elevators in tandem like this, once the enemy is looking at the balcony doors. Otherwise, you are going to get cut to ribbons on the elevator drop and then fighting up stairs. Against a zerg or pub force, they anticipate you coming lower jump pad or stairs more then the back balcony in force. The balcony remains the prized position tactically.
