Again, congratulations on a nice win against B4ND in our Community Clash preseason. It was done on very short notice, but you guys all rose to the occasion nicely. We've had a few days to enjoy that victory, but it's time to start getting our heads on straight for Future Crew next month. We have a lot of work to do.
The commanders have been pouring over the game footage almost continuously since the end of the match and we've identified a lot of places that we need to work on. I'll say it as simply as I can: If we play against FCRW the way we played against B4ND, FCRW will destroy us.
I strongly recommended you take the time to watch all the footage of the match that you can, especially B4ND's perspective. You will see just how disorganized they were. FCRW has their shit together. Every one of their players will instinctively understand how to respond to whatever we throw at them. Their shooters can beat our's 1v1. There will be no more hero holds where we can stand up to attackers 3v1. There will be no more establishing air dominance with 4 mosquitoes to their 10 ESFs. They will have liberators crewed by some of the most experienced and accurate dalton gunners on the server. They will have answers for our tanks. Their shooters will be accurate and extremely deadly and you'd better believe they'll know where you are before you know where they are.
The commanders are working on setting up some very difficult scrims for ground and air. We're going to be reworking the way we run our competitive practices to eliminate the 2 hour standing around bullshit. We're going to work working on our tank tactics, our air tactics, and our ground tactics to tighten up as much as possible.
Those of you who participated in the 12v12 practices so far will be a little bit ahead on some of the infantry skills - share what you know with the other guys. I saw TR sitting in tiny rooms waiting for the B4ND scat maxes instead of defending the perimeter and moving. We had guys hanging back instead of putting pressure on their spawn rooms. We had some communication problems that we need to sort out too. We played well, but none of us played at the peak of ability. We'll need to bring every bit of our potential to bear if we want to have a chance against FCRW.
Win or lose against FCRW, I want us to look like a completely different team come match time. So, hope you guys enjoyed our easy win - it's time to start work.
We've got some practices coming up, we'll get the schedules out to you ASAP. We need as many people to show up and work as possible. This won't be won by 15 guys who've practiced and 9 random dudes on for wednesday night ops.
The strategy we're working on is going to be a bit of a curve-ball. I can't stress the importance of keeping it under wraps. Do not post about any of our tactics, talk about our tactics, or even hint that we're doing something different than what the current meta demands.
