Dear Total Recoil,
It has come to my attention that some of you need lesson on how to be...more gentlemen like and id like to give you boys the tools to be the man every girl wants. I have broken my lessons into Chapters that include Personal Hygiene, Fashion and appearance, Mind set and confidence, Approaching/Opening, General conversations and Closing.
This is not a book about how to get lady, its written to be building blocks for men that need help in the female area of life.
***This is written for men in in the late teens to mid twenties**
Chapter I
Personal Hygiene
Gentlemen, when you see a cute girl whether at school, work or standing in line at Taco bell. Do you think she just wakes up every morning and is ready for her day. NO, she preps so that she gets noticed. She puts make-up on, does her hair, makes sure she smells nice. I feel that as guys on a normal day we dont put much work into preparing to be apart of society. And then we wonder why we dont get notice by these girls. So lets start at the basics of Personal Hygiene/Daily Preparation.
First: Be clean, take regular shows, and im embarrassed to have to mention it, but its important to be clean and having super oily hair is not very attractive. Wash your face in the morning.
Second:
Hair; I for one love a girl with great hair. It might surprise how much a good Hair cut can improve your looks and confidence. Put some effort into finding a hair that works with your head and face. And i know its funny to say, but its true we cant all pull off the same kind of hair cut. If your not sure how find a good hair cut that works for you dont be afraid to ask your hair cutter for some advice (gay guys know hair styles).
Facial Hair; Gentlemen we all love our beards...But to be frank if you dont have a full beard and yours has patchs missing or your just starting to grow a beard, Its probably best if you dont grow your beard out. Having some 3 or 4 day old scruff its fine. (when its just getting soft) And in some cases it can be your look. If you do choose to rock your manly beard its important you keep in line, we arent in the wilderness. Keep it trimmed and managed. If you arent sure if you should grow a beard its best to shave. Something ive learned from girl friends is that they dont like making out with you when you have 5 o'clock shadow/sand paper face because it gives time a little bit of a rash on their chin, Just keep that in mind. But at the same time If your in early twenties and want to look a little more mature having some well groomed facial hair can give you that boost and it goes for having some scruff as well. If you have a neck beard, keep your face well shaven, neck beards will never be cool.
Body Hair; Women in college from my experience dont like men with lots of chest/back hair. But having a hairy chest isnt a terrible thing, as along as you keep it managed. Trim it with some electric cutters once a week or even once every other week. IF you can run your hands through it, its to long bro. If your like many and have back hair, trimming is a easy option, but their is no shame in having it waxed, getting your back waxed is about 60 bucks, and to many its a good invest if you plan on enjoying the pool or beach without a shirt.
Downstairs mix up; Gentlemen keep your zone man-scaped,this goes for your balls as well, girls dont want to suck on balls covered in hair. Ive found when you trim your body hair just go ahead and man-scape and about every 3 weeks take a razor blade to your balls and just clean them up. Dont try and electric clipper then you wont like the out come. Finally, DONT MAN-SCAPE the night of an importat event and that goes for body hair. Cause Chances are you might nick something and or get bumps. Give your self 2 days.
Third:
Smells:
Breath:
No one likes bad breath. Brush your teeth before you go out and carry some gum on you, but none of that fruity shit, get mint favored or something classic. This not only gives you better breath through the day and night, but also can re-dampen your mouth if things get a little more serious in the night.
Deodorant:
Simple, wear it.
Cologne:
I for one love when a girl smells nice, as long as its not over whelming perfume is a nice touch. Its the same for guys. And if your smell nice chances are you'll even get a compliment about it. Its important to find a scent you like that isnt over whelming. No one wants to be the Persian guy in the elevator that wreaks of cologne. So after youve found a scent that you enjoy and want to smell like you need to apply it. You dont need to drown yourself in it. Just a spay on the wrist and rub your neck with your wrist a little to spread to around. I like to add it alittle extra and spray some into the air infront of me and walk into it. It makes my cloths smell better and gives me a little bit more of area at which you can smell it. And dont worry it will last all night.
Final notes on smells: If your shoes smell take care of it. IF you take her home, you don't want to be embarrassed because your feet smell. Throwing some baking power into your shoes helps.
Final Notes on Hygiene:
Fingers nails and toe nails: Keep your nails groomed. Just clip them. Girls dont like guys with long finger nails when your finger them. IF you bit your finger nails (like i do) Try hard not to. There are polishes that can make it bitter/nasty tasting to help you stop.
Eyebrows: Just take care of them, if you have a uni-brow just shave it. If your really worried about them you could look into getting them waxed/threaded/plucked.
I hope this advice has been helpful, its taken me years to learn some of these things and i hope it helps you get started in the right direction.
Sincerely,
Totalzone
