I was watching this tutorial on Heavy Assault and I discovered hands down that the Resist Shield is better for fighting.
The main difference is the Resist shield, at any period in its charge amount, will reduce damage by about 50%.
The Nanite mesh generator though uses the charge as an indicator of how much damage it will resist. So if you activate it, wait 5 seconds, get shot at only 10% of the charge left you will get about 75hp reduced instead of 750hp.
The Nanite Mesh does absorb damage completely without you taking hits so if you are at low hp, can activate it just as you start getting hit, or jump off a high building it can absorb it without you ever worrying out getting any damage.
But when it comes to gun fights and you often wait for the enemy to hit you or use it in anticipation of it, then you'll be losing a massive portion of what you think you're getting.
The adrenaline shield forces you to get kill after kill. So unless you plan on joining NUC, or becoming the next Shamus in our outfit then good luck.
Another point is that when you start getting hit the resist shield will not take as much damage because it has to be activated asap to fully utilize its potential. This is one argument about the Nanite Mesh that is good because you can activate it late and still get the full 750hp but more often then not you will die too soon if you can't activate on time or you could activate it too early and go from 750hp to 100 hp over a few seconds then the nanite mesh is almost worthless.
To recap; Nanite mesh gen. is good for falls or knowing that you will be getting hit immediately (rare circumstances), the adrenaline shield is for mlg pros who eat zergs for breakfast, but the resist shield always does about 50% damage reduction no matter how little of a charge you have but still absorbs as much damage as the nanite mesh gen may at full charge.
Note: With all of these the importance of having a trigger finger on your shield is important because the time to kill is so fast in close quarters.
If this isn't a fact after reading this then please discuss as I am trying to find a conclusive, factual point on the heavy assault shield gen.
