Some or most of you may have heard TXR is producing a Machinima! This thread is dedicated to keeping track of production progress, Volunteers for the project, and for bouncing around ideas/storys! Don't know what a Machinima is? ma·chin·i·ma [muh-shee-nuh-muh] noun 1. the process of making real-time animated films by utilizing the 3-D graphics technology of computer games. 2. a film or films made in this way. Thus far is our progress so far with the Machinima.
Every episode will be at minimum 5 minutes, at most 10 minutes.
All episodes to a degree will cover some infamous and memorable moments we all know in Planetside2 such as Logistics, Being run over, Team Kills, Trolls, Nerdrage and proximity conversations. Also included will be a degree of highlight for different play styles such as Outfit Divisions: Infantry, Armor, Air, and Spec-Ops as perceived from a Supply-Units point of view.
Kieladar has a story written, he would like Reddington or Swatz to meet up though to actually get some witty, clever, and sarcastic dialogue written for characters.
The story gist so far without giving away any spoilers will be a realistic account of the war for Auraxis by the Terran Republic as seen from the perspective of a Combat-Patrol/Supply unit, We want the characters to be sarcastic and a healthy dosage of comedy involved with this grim perspective on Auraxis.
Our general main heroes so far w/ Voice Actors are as follows:
-Lieutenant/Mission Coordinator - Odaddy1
-Squad Sergeant - Beroken
-Squad Engineer/Driver - Decelexcvi
-Squad Medic - TacosYEAH
-Radio Operator - Caustic
-FNG/Heavy Weapons Specialist - WrexHammerhead
Keep in mind there will be more characters as the story progresses, We want to give everyone who's interested a chance to have a appearance or cameo in the Machinima. These characters thus far are who's just been chosen for Episode 1.
What we have and what we need to make this project work!
Our ultimate goal right now is just getting out 1 episode, anything more depends entirely on that 1 episode. Right now what we have is...
The above mentioned for Voice-Acting, More to be included. Need Audio recorders.
Reddington, TSilver & Swatz for Story/Diaolgue.
PencilStick & Fearhawk for Video Recording, Need experienced Video Editors for post-production.
Need Audio Recorders for Voice-Acting sessions and post-production work.
Need puppeteers to serve as support and background characters.
and of course the free-time/patience of everyone involved! This Machinima Project will probably take a few weeks, even a month to produce, no expected due-date. With organizing times that work for everyone or specific teams to be online at the same time to help work on production of the machinima. Recording time will probably impede on those XP boosts.

For episodes and such that I wont be in I can of course be a puppeteer. Also I am working on learning video editing so down the line from now I can help with that too.

I would definitely like to help with writing and scripting, like working on story themes and of course the style of jokes that we keep using in TXR.

Ops typically begins at 5:30pm [PST]/6:00pm, typically running 2 hours to do a alert or if we're on a roll for longer. Judging our average Ops times if I had to give a specific time... Lets aim for 8:30pm or 9:00pm? We can fill in the stragglers who may show up late.
Anything discussed in the meeting if you miss it will be posted in this thread.

It might be better to film on the PTS than Connery to prevent pubbies from interupting/trolling.

The PTS server would probably be easier for avoiding griefers and paparazzi but at the same time a live server is just convenient for everyone to just jump right into the production and our Cosmetic stuff I think is only on the live servers, Cosmetics can be used to show off personalities and tell characters apart.
I think doing the PTS or Live can be talked about and decided during the meeting.
