From our teamspeak host:
;D
We have some great news! This coming Monday we will be moving your server installation to an updated hardware cluster. What this means is that no only will you have greater security on the server but you will have double the resources. That means that your server will be TWICE AS FAST.
We are well aware that there have been serveral attacks on the vs20 node the past couple of weeks and a few of the customers we have already told automatically assumed that these weren't attacks but poor hardware. This couldn't be farther from the truth. No attacks can be stopped, but the location that your TeamSpeak server is currently on has MUCH better hardware and speed than any of our competitors. Why then are we moving you to an updated cluster? Well we are pretty much technophiles. We need to have the best and we just bought a bunch of top of the line servers with crazy resources. Since vs20 has been getting pummeled with attackers we thought, what the heck, lets put them on the newest SSAI and server hardware since they have had it tough for the past 2 weeks. It also gives us an opportunity to isolate your account from the offending users.
What does this mean for you? It means you are going to have a server that is twice the speed with (hopefully) fewer interruptions with some improvements we are making to the SSAI.
Since you are getting a new IP pool, and since our normal redundant system won't be active yet; you will need to flush your DNS to reconnect. Please follow the instructions here: www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html
9 times out of 10 users that contact us saying they can't connect even though they followed the instructions didn't actually follow the instructions PLEASE READ THE ABOVE LINK. If you have properly flushed the DNS and you still cannot connect please reboot your router, modem and computer to make sure they all start up fresh just in case they also have DNS cache. It is important that you notify your users of this as well so that they can be prepared.
The move will be taking place on Tuesday AUG 13 early morning between 2:00am and 6:00am MST (low point for users)the downtime will be no longer than 3min but more likely about 10 seconds. Make sure you flush your DNS to connect again.
Any further updates will be posted in tserverhq.com/clients/networkissues.php?view=scheduled
