I heard on the June 22 Friday Night Ops from Twitch (advertised on the launchpad client a lot) that they have dog fighting arranged from outfits and I thought that would be perfect for you guys. It sounds like liberators/gals/ESF's are all involved. No ground vehicles though, purely air tactical warfare.

Never really heard of a successful planned large scale dogfight. Usually I just stick to the 1v1s a lot of the enemies like doing with me and other pilots.

It's something to look into, but the planned events tend to be kind of weird in my experience. Refer to what we tried to do with Nova. One night it worked, the next night they raged when it didn't.
I'm not opposed to trying anything that could be fun for us, of course. We can take a look at it and see if there is enough interest to give it a try.

I would love to see you guys go all out aginst each other, though weapons lock and the like would need to be taken into account:)- Is there a way to do air training in the VR room? 3v3, 2v2, 3v1 etc. I would love to hook up with you guys from time to time to get more air chops. Plus, dog fighting is fun as all get out.

Did they fix the loadout bug in VR? If so, we could use it again for that kind of thing if there was interest. Of course, VR doesn't let you damage teammates, so the "kills" would be hard to nail down.

Afaik, they have fixed the vr loadout problems, with the last of the relatively minor fixes a month or two ago.
VR is good for some sparring. You can't lock on to a friendly there, which will probably be a bigger deal if we get the new air weapons.
I'll offer again to log on to my nc or vs and be a target dummy. The problem there is that I'm not the greatest dogfighter to begin with and will be less good in an unfamiliar esf.

I can pull a reaver with some minor stuff on it. I don't like flying the brick too much. It's good enough for a target dummy, maybe, but won't be a challenge to the better pilots in our group.

PTS server guys. Anyway I'm building a VS atm so I can cert into my Scythe it probably won't be a fair fight verses me but it will at least teach the new guys when to run and when to fight.

Well I have a list of the clans the guys on the show mentioned with their websites so if we're interested in 'airplane only' 1v1 or bigger then we can contact them.

Huh. I hadn't considered this. That's not a bad idea...
