Some of you kind folk have sent my attention to the game site for Star Citizen. I am intrigued, highly. It does seem to be a game that we could play as an outfit. What is the group think on this one...is it something I should buy into early...are we thinking about a TxR server? robertsspaceindustries.com/about-the-gamePS, I found an interesting vid with some good points and nice in game footage. |

I really hope this game lives up to its hype. I would without a doubt quit planetside if all that it has promised works.

Colt, even at half the promise it would prove to be the nail in the coffin for PS2 (imho) if in the same time frame PS2 does not pull out of its dev nose dive.

My knee jerk reaction to a game like this is how it won't work. Instanced "mmo" makes me sad.
Evochron mercenary was pretty much the same thing with single player/instanced servers. X3/freelancer with multiplayer option. Doesn't have quite the following.
Space mmo's (hai jumpgate!) generally have a fanatical fanbase that is really loud but doesn't actually like or play the games that meet the standards they insist on (hai eve).
Been burned way too many times on this type of shit to get excited.

I'm going to put it this way. I loved Freelancer (got me through Iraq) and I'm going to love this!
Edit: Have bought in. Can't wait to get home and check out my Origin 315p Explorer in the hangar module.
