Hey guys, been a while since we've had a scheduled Sunday night practice. With the GU11 changes I'd like for us to get together, compare notes, and work on some team tactics in the new AA environment.
With the reduction in burster power, a return of the ESF air superiority role may be a thing that happens (instead of a dream I had). Skyguard hunting may also become a worthwhile activity.

To add to that if we do run out of air resources, us pulling skyguards might also be a worthwhile activity until we replenish.

As a non Skywatch member, can I show up just to see how things work? Even if it means I just come along and stay out of the way?

Just as a heads up - I'm currently trying to sell my house. We put it on the market 2 days ago and have had almost 10 showings so far. I have to be out of the house while its being shown, which has a lot to do with why I missed FNO tonight.
I'm not anticipating any problems with Sunday night's schedule, but just in case, be prepared to follow the direction of the Flight Leads to get the practice started. I'll be along ASAP.

Awesome turn out tonight, I really appreciate you guys showing up for these things. We'll continue to run these pretty much weekly for the next several weeks as the Air game continues to change with GU12 (anticipated ESF update). During the week while normal ops are going on, there is no reason not to group up with another skywatch member or two and fly together. Work on team tactics, calling targets, and helping each other. Flying together will make you MUCH more effective in the air. Learning to do so efficiently will make you nearly unstoppable.
Again, great work tonight. I'll see you all in the air!

Best advice. If you want to learn how to fly, fly. Tips and suggestions are fine but until you are in the position it's difficult to explain it all.
It's pricey, certing into a liberator is quite costly... mossies a little less so.. but still. If you are like me, and tanks and all that bore you... and infantry is just something you dabble in... by all means, cert into your mossie and lib.. I'd suggesting waiting until you have a hefty amount of certs before asking for a gunner... and when in doubt, be a gunner.
I don't mind taking new players as gunners as long as they follow my rules... no idling without notice... paying attention.. and willing to learn.
You will learn the most by being a gunner and learning the tricks.. plus it is easy certs. It is NOT hard, but it DOES take PRACTICE.
