So, in the last week or so we have seen the release of Arena Commander (AC) v0.8, MISC Freelancer variants, the last episode of "Wingman's Hangar"(WH), $45 and $46 mill stretch goals, The Next Great Starship finale, etc. Busy week! So, here's the break down in short form:
I believe that about covers it! Been busy in the last week with a lot going on. As always, check back at RobertsSpaceIndustries.com for the full story of what's going on for the development of the Best Damn Space Sim Ever (BDSSE).
- MISC Freelancer variants: 3 variants ranging from big haul (MAX), to the heavy hitter/combat support (MIS), to the long range explorer(DUR). Also, the commercial release and brochure!
- $45 mill stretch goal: Hadesian Artifact (quest line? kind of a mystery, but at least something to go in your hangar). Engine Tuning Kit (self explanatory)
- $46 mill stretch goal: Updated scanning software for asteroid mineral scanning. And the next commercial being the Retaliator after Constellation and Cutlass commercials.
- AC Release and multiplayer rollout: v0.8 is just the initial version of AC with v0.9 being much more multiplayer and v1.0 being full multiplayer capability for all backers with access. Multiplayer rollout has begun with 250 handpicked people having access. Access will be rolled out as server stability and scaling issues are worked out. Will be rolled out according to citizen number.
- Last episode of WH: Eric "Wingman" Peterson is more than just the face of the team, he's also a part of the production team. The time has come for him to step down from the limelight and back into the shadows of production and step up his game in the production role. New community show is "Around the 'Verse" with community leader Ben Lesnick and Marketing Director Sandi Gardner. Watched the first episode of "Around the 'Verse" and only hope for it to get better, because that's the only direction in can go at this point...
- The Next Great Starship Competition: It's over and the winner announced! The Aegis Dynamics Redeemer from the Four Horsemen division has put out their mercenary gunship! Looks cool and might still be in your hangar to look at. No interior access unfortunately.
