From any source of media (movie/book/comic/video game), what source had your favorite game/sport. These can also be "sports/games" that have since been tried in real life; looking at you Quidditch.
It can be the 3d Star Trek Chess:
It can be Basketball:
It can the Blood Of Heroes (+10 hipster obscurity points):
It can be from a video game:
It could be that weird fake chess game from Game Of Thrones! So, what say ye?!
Edit;
and who can forget whatever the fuck this was from BSG;

CLEARLY BasEketball. We used to actually play it. I had a beers jersey. They were the Milwaukee Beers. I'm from Milwaukee. We don't have a whole lot of movies made about our city. A close second is The Running Man. Honorable mention to that game Bond played against Largo in Thunderball that electrocutes the loser and human chess from a certain Mel Brooks film. Edit - Love how the Harry Potter universe cannot be the right answer in any of your threads I couldn't agree more.

The zero-g freezer tag from Ender's Game. The movie even did well enough with it.
