The Oculus looks awesome just for the cheesy horror and rollercoaster games, but using it for something like Star Citizen would be Epic.

Well, it's intended use is for gaming in general. Star Citizen will be launching with full native support for Rift.

It looks super immersive. I'll still be using my TrackIR 5. I like to see my keyboard, especially since I'm sure I'll have some stuff mapped to it as well as my uber awesome X-55 Rhino Hotas. Are you a backer of SC?

No I'm not a backer. Still on the fence about whether or not I want to get into the beta once the dogfighting module is released. It's tempting, but I've been in a lot of betas in the past year and I'm not very fond of the experience. I might just wait until the full release and get that.

Dats cool. I can definitely understand that. I've experienced a couple betas, but never an alpha. The dogfighting module that was revealed last night is still pre-alpha. We won't be getting our hands on it for at least a couple more weeks.

Betas and alphas really are only good for people that want to be involved in the game's development, and I just want to play with as few bugs as possible lol. And I think being in the ESO beta really put me off from the game because I started over at lvl 1 so many times. I don't want that to happen with SC. It looks amazing though.

So facebook bought this. That means its basically dead, am I right? I don't know about you guys, but I think these internet advertisements are getting really out of hand.
Just saying... When companies like this get their grubby little hands on something destined for greatness, they immediately lose consumer confidence, and any sense of duty to the gaming community originally held by its devs. I get the feeling this awesome, immersive virtual reality headset is about to have PIP advertisements in your peripheral all the time. Somebody needs to strangle Zuckerberg for this one. I'm genuinely pissed, and no longer considering OC rift as an option.
