Total Recoil is, first and foremost, a community of gamers. We’re a group of people who want to have fun playing games together, and any behavior that is disruptive of that will NOT be tolerated. It is therefore necessary to have consequences for such behaviour..
We will be implementing a system to report other players. If you have a problem with another member that you can’t resolve directly with them, come to us instead instead of ignoring the problem or escalating it.
There are three different categories of conflict, Disagreement, Harassment, and Infighting. The three types are outlined in detail in the Report Template thread, and you should consult the full definition before filing a complaint. In brief, the categories are:
Disagreement is most similar to an argument, and resolves itself without escalating or causing problems.
Harassment is one-sided and is most similar to bullying.
Infighting is a fight between two parties that doesn’t resolve itself, and instead escalates and is disruptive to everyone else. Both people are at fault here, regardless of who started it.
-In a case of Harassment, the offending player will receive consequences.
-In a case of Infighting, both players will receive consequences.
If leadership decides consequences are appropriate then consequences will follow:
-First offenders will receive a minimum of a three-day ban and may also face demotion and other sanctions.
-Repeat offenders will face a minimum of a one-week ban and will be considered for further punishments, including removal from the outfit.
If you submit an appropriate complaint to leadership, it will be investigated and resolved.
We will talk to all players involved and deal with the problem. From new recruits to generals, no one will be permitted to start drama and disrupt the experience of others.
For instructions on submitting a complaint, as well as more information on the categories, please see the Report Template thread.
