Think you have what it take to conquer space? Ever wanted to reign death and destruction down from on high? Or maybe you want to build a confederation of peaceful space explorers with your like minded inhabitants. If all goes well and java behaves we will have the opportunity to do all that and more
I will attempt to get this set up this weekend.
If you want to get up to speed we will be using Lapitos Galaticraft modPack from the Feed The Beast launcher menu. Go grab it and run solo to get the mechanics down, try out a few rocket launches, etc etc.

I think I got us something a little better and a little more stable. AMPZ is a mod pack I have wanted to try for a while. It has galacticraft in it as well as the ausumsauce mod called MineFactory reloaded.
So I think I have it all in place. Check in your FTB launcher for AMPZ

Ok folks, it is up and running. txr.mine.nu We are using the AMPZ pack from the FTB launcher. ftbwiki.org/Ampz_Pack1)Go get the FTB launcher exe (http://feed-the-beast.com/launcher) 2)Run that exe 3)Pick the AMPZ mod 4)If it install right go to Multiplayer options and add txr.mine.nu to your servers. 5)Hit the Refresh button 6)You should see our server up and running. Click on it and you are in. Note- If you were not on the Whitelist for the other servers you will need to ask in these threads to get added. If you were in the list and you are not now, do not panic...I probably got an old list moved over. Also note - If you have any problems getting the mod to work, have no fear. One of the servers hosting the various lib files took a dump in the last day or so. Good news though is I can post up the two files that are having issues and you will be on your way. |

So.
I send a rescue mission to retrive tom. Successfully give tom rocket, have spare one for me. On my lauch, accidentally right click while high up. Stuck on moon.
Edit: Quick FYI, you respawn on the moon. Lovely.

The two files can be got over on the TS channel. Just right click on the Minecraft General channel and Open File Browser. Place the files in the minecraft/libs directory under where ever it is your FTB launcher placed Ampz/UniversalElectricity.

This is a fun mod and you all should try it! Also at some point Tarz might want to launch a rescue mission to the Moon. I meant to go to earth and clicked the Moon. Also it turns out there a giant crater on the moon corresponding to where we launch from. Yeah if you hit the edge of the crater and get a little lag while landing... your lander probably not going to survive. (In my case it was both, so I could see my landing speed and ended up comming in to fast. So if your bored Tarz and want to mount a lunar rescue mission let me know. (Also you guys should have all the supplies for everyone still to have their own rocket. I know because I made sure there were enough rockets before I left the earth to try out testing to see if my little robit would teleport to space with me. Turns out he doesn't he only teleports to you in the same dimension. Also, I have not tested this, but seeing as the robit is immune to fall damage and immune to rocket fire, I suspect he's immune to lava fire as well. When I get a chance though I will try to test lava immunity for Swatz and Pencil In the mean time, if anyone wants me to mine for them on the moon. Just provide the oxygen and picks, and I provide all the mining you need. (Hey I am making the best of a bad situation |
