I've been spending a good amount of time on the PTS lately for the community clash practice. It occurred to me, it might be useful to the group to be able to practice there. Unlike the VR room, it allows us to fly against each other and against all the faction planes.
The only downside is the extra download it requires (9GB I think).
What is the interest using the PTS to work on some more controlled practices so we can develop tighter team tactics?
Indicate your interest above.
The Community clash has taken away from our practice schedule a little bit. The group has been flying so well together I'm not that worried, but I would like to get us back into the habit of actually showing up as a group and playing together.
I'll be looking to restart practices or group events here in the next week. If you'd like to suggest new times or days of the week for this, please indicate that below.

I finally got the test client working. Not soon enough to join for clash practice, but since I've done the download twice already, I'm up for making use of it.
I would rather see practices on a weeknight. By Sunday night I'm spent and just trying to get to bed early to start the work week (that seldom actually happens). But, I don't really care much and others probably say something similar about weeknights.

We are working on getting PTR training into our normal line up schedule.
We need a few guys on the leadership team to help out with organizing and running it. Let us know if your interested in helping out.

I voted no.
Regardless of the map.. nexus.. esamir.. amerish... wherever... the terrain doesn't change...
IMO you're only going to get better if you challenge yourself. "Fixed" battles don't benefit anyone really, just lulls you into a false sense of security and that you're better than everyone else =P
And with our super chronic shortage of pilots now... I think we need to spend more time with the TTA... and trying to encourage newer people to take up flying.

PTS air training wouldn't really teach new pilots how to behave & survive in the live servers, but definitely could increase their skills in head to head situation where you manage to face the enemy and have a showdown till your plane explodes

I don't disagree, Snoggy. The 1v1 duels or artificial scenarios have very limited application and usefulness.
I'm thinking more of the advantages of learning team tactics like the Thach Weave and Bait & Hook. These are simple ideas in concept, but take a lot of practice to become second nature in my experience.
We have had low attendance numbers for the last two Friday Night Ops (last week was not the normal FNO). I see a lot of guys with the skywatch badge doing things other than flying. I'm not going to dictate how people play a game and spend their free time, but I'll be working on ideas to encourage better attendance, especially from people who wear the wings.
