1) Which rank are you requesting? NCO
2) Do you meet the outlined criteria for your Promotion (copy and paste the specific requirements)?
-Must be in the Outfit for at least two months Yes
-Must be at least Specialist Rank Currently I'm a specialist
-Takes initiative to Squad/Platoon Lead when available Have been trying to fill-in squad or platoon lead whenever I'm feeling capable of doing one
-Must Start Certing into Squad Beacon Currently in level 2 or 3 spawn beacon
-Works well with peers I'm pretty active vocally, the bad side is probably I'm emotional but still working hard to be better at controlling it
-Demonstrates a working knowledge of game mechanics and strategy I'm pretty experienced with the tactics in planetside 2 as i've platoon lead before in other servers like briggs and mattherson
-Must be willing to learn and take constructive criticism I personally like people who criticize me as it helps me to learn more
-Must apply for Leadership Um.. think this is what I'm doing
3) Why do you want a Promotion? I've always like leading, seeing the map looking and predicting the flow of the battle. Connery is probably the biggest server in PS2 and there are a lot of pubs in connery. Being a leader can give me a chance to show those pubs how to play better as a team player in the game.
4) How active are you in recruiting new members for the outfit? I've been giving recruitement speech here and there even though I'm not leading (whenever PL agrees with it)
5) Since you have entered Leadership what have you done to make TXR a better outfit? I've not entered leadership and this is my first step into it
6) What rank would you love to see yourself in eventually? Officer / Captain
7) What ideas do you have to make Total Recoil better? More scrimages in PTS, the practices in defend or attack one or more points for me really push players to their limit not only as individual but also to support and rely on their team-mates
Leadership Applicant Outline
2. Why do you want to lead? What motivates you? I like to give players good fights, having 2/3 rd of population in a facility gives you the cap but not the fun. those 50/50 fights are probably the most fun fight you could get and those are the thing i would like to give to my squad / platoon.
3. Why should we trust you with our Squads/Platoons? I'm pretty experienced with being a SL & PL. I also consider options & opinions that everyone gives to me.
4. How do you handle stress and heated situations? I try to stay calm as long as possible and give command to respond to the threat although i would demand faster and better response
5. Are you able to diffuse situations before they escalate into bigger problems? Currently I would say i've not had one
6. How is your experience with dealing with inter-outfit conflicts? I tend to avoid bringing outfit as a whole into the problem and try to look into the individuals
7. How would you rate your strategic knowledge of Planet Side 2? Average or above average although wouldn't say I'm really that good
8. How would you describe your leadership ability out of 10 - 7
9. What are your biggest contributions you can bring as a leader to TXR? Getting more people into TxR and possibly having inter-server players to roll with us
10. How do you feel TXR can benefit from you being in a leadership position? TxR as it stands is one of the well respected outfits in planetside 2 with great players and leaders. stepping into the leadership role in TxR will give better knowledge about tactics, things that are happening around planetside 2 or even possibly better attitude towards conflicts.
11. Have you ever been a Guild(Clan, Outfit, Corporation, etc. pending on your gaming history) Leader, Officer, or a Event Organizer?
Not really, but i do have a lot of experience leading 1 - 1.5 platoons in briggs server
12. TXR Troopers have been taunting a fellow TXR for being a Brony, This Trooper has had enough and chosen to retaliate by team killing, not only fellow TXR but allied TR, even going as far as selling us out to the enemy. How do you deal with this situation? Why do you choose this path? I would come to the leader of all outfits that were affected by the individual and form up diplomacy with them. as for the teamkilling, i would go to the GM to get the guy banned or some massive reports about it. TK back the individual might sounds fun but in the end it only makes the problem bigger.
13. Every Field Commander has there preference in battle strategy - Offensive, Defensive, Guerrilla play styles, or Infantry, Armor, Air force favorites. What’s your command style and why? Divide and conquer. whenever i could have more than one platoon, i like to have specialized squads (usually fellow TxR members) that can response much faster and do the objective more efficiently than the rest of the platoon to take down smaller facilities or special objectives. Usage of armor can be a distraction for enemy while air (usually libs) can be used to clean out the enemies which are harder to reach with infantry or armor.
14. Communications have broken down in your Platoon, the order to “Clear Comms” has been ignored and casual conversation is persisting, The battle your Platoon is in is very intense, your force is on the verge of defeat. What action do you take to convince people to get tactical and fight rather then talk? Pull down squad and platoon leaders into a specialized room in TS and run the command from there. if in-game chat is too noisy and uncontrollable muting platoon chat can be considered.
16. Do you understand the responsibilities that come with TXR leadership? Great things come with great costs. ability to cooperate, handling heated situations, receive comments and the adaptability are probably the responsibilites i expect to come with the leadership position
