DEADLINE FOR COMMUNITY CLASH APPLICATION Sunday September 1st at 11:59pm PST. NO MORE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR COMMUNITY CLASH ROSTER TXR TEAM. THE TEAM ROSTER WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON MONDAY SEPTEMBER 2ND ON THE FORUMS. GOOD LUCK TO ALL APPLICANTS.
That's right! We've got the privilege of participating in ReachCast's Community Clash on Wednesday, September 11th! ReachCast has a much better relationship with SOE than MLG does, and therefore have better access to the resources they need to put on a great cast. Their operation is more professional and legitimately competitive. The match we're partaking in is going to be focused and under controlled circumstances, a real match where we can showcase our skills against an opposing outfit. What opposing outfit? Who knows! We sure don't! But we'll tell you as soon as we do! The full rules for the engagement can be found here: www.planetside-universe.com/p-community-clash-rules-135.htmBut for those of you who don't care enough to read the whole thing (or any of it), I'll summarize the rules here: For each match, both teams select a base (and a backup base) to fight at.
Each match has two halves. One half will be fought at one team's selected base, and the other at the opposing team's selection.
Each half is divided into an Attacking and Defending round, so both teams will play both roles.
Points are awarded at regular intervals for possession of the control point(s).
ReachCast mods will determine placement of one "Hard Spawn" sunderer per team. Neither team is allowed to touch the other's hard spawn.
That's the short, simple version. The real rules have lots of detail, if you have any questions about what this event is gonna be like, read them yourself, watch past ReachCasts, and familiarize yourself. So, here's where you come in. Leadership has compiled a spreadsheet that allows us to easily figure out what class you favor, how you play it, and even our own personal notes on how you work in a team, ect. (Thanks, Tom!) The data also includes stats pulled from Planetside Universe as part of your individual profiles. Based on the information in these profiles, and the personal judgement of leadership, we will be selecting a team to participate in the event, as the numbers we can bring are limited. This is how we will pick a crew for this and all similar future events. If you would like to be considered to participate, this is the place to tell us. Comment with your name, primary and secondary class, and a link to your stats page on Planetside Universe. We will only be selecting from this pool of volunteers. There will also be a backup crew in case someone selected doesn't show or must leave during the event. Here are a few things to remember if you want to be considered for participation: ---We aren't just looking at your stats. Your ability to follow orders quickly and without question, and your ability to work as a team are just as important, if not more.
---There will be a MANDATORY training before this event where we will familiarize you with the rules of the competition. Some of these rules will result in immediate, no-warning disqualification of the whole team if violated, so even if you are selected, if you don't go to training, you won't get to play.
---If you sign up, make sure you keep the 11th clear on your calendar. Take off work, skip your classes, say no to that party invitation on Facebook.
You will not be considered for participation in this event if it becomes clear you haven't read this post carefully.

LupinMay1: Primary class: Engineer Secondary Class: Heavy Assault www.planetside-universe.com/character-5428087443914620897.php?tab=lupinmay1*I was seeing how everyone was mentioning their back ups so I will follow suit.* I also am capable with my upgraded mosquito/infiltrator I forgot to mention as the War Report dealt with air and had no skywatch players ( I believe) I would like to add that someone (at least one) should have a good mosquito. My infiltrator has flash and of course upgrades on the character as well

Kislen: Primary class: Heavy Assault Secondary Class: Max/Vehicles/Medic www.planetside-universe.com/character-5428010618041384721.phpI am a moderately skilled pilot with a fairly well certed mosquito. I have a max composite/nitro harasser with a nearly fully certed marauder & an uncerted halberd. I'm a pretty good driver. My max has all cert lines maxed except charge. I am moderately skilled with both a prowler and lightning and have them moderately certed with AP/HE/HEAT for both & also skyguard. I have a max-certed recon tool as infiltrator, max medic tool, max engineer tool, AT mines, all grenade types for all classes and a propensity for a high rate of survival. I don't play medic much, but I think I'd be pretty decent at it because I'm so good at not dying. I am also an excellent hammer, just give me nails.

I think Talron said he already had a spot for me on the team. Who is leading this by the way? We need a leader who understands fighting on a smaller scale battles. My first Suggestion is Talron, I can also volunteer, I understand the importance of individual skill and I know what most of you are capable of, because I pay attention to that kind of play. My other suggestion is Kislen since we both have a fair amount of time participating in those smaller scale farm fests. No offense to the leaders but these kinds of fights will be won based off individual skill more than taking out sundies. I believe it was sudden death/no respawns with TRG and that battle relied on medics, HA and Maxes more than spawn points. Anyway Primary: Heavy Assault or Mosquito Secondary: Gunner or Lib pilot, since my lib is maxed out anyway and I enjoy using my tank buster on those rare occasions. www.planetside-intel.com/character.php?id=5428011263400061889&view=summary&a=week

I will be leading TXR in this Community Clash. I want nothing but the best team players on this Roster and people who have proved themselves on the battle field will be getting top priority on this roster list of 24.
If you have played with TXR for awhile you're damn right I will have noticed your commitment, attitude, skill and desire to wanting to represent TXR in this community clash.
Remember gentlemen, it is an absolute privilege to represent TXR in this event.
DEADLINE FOR COMMUNITY CLASH APPLICATION Sunday September 1st at 11:59pm PST.
