1) Which rank are you requesting?
Ossifer.
2) Do you meet the outlined criteria for your Promotion (copy and paste the specific requirements)?
Squad/Platoon Lead when available
I do this.
-Must have Spawn Beacon to at least 4th rank
Maxed.
-Must have Certed into squad leading items: Smoke and Offensive/Defensive requests
Leadership at 100%
-Works well with peers
I'd like to think I do.
-Demonstrates a working knowledge of game mechanics and strategy
Again, I'd like to think I do.
-Able to quickly implement orders and delegate effectively
I'm very objective oriented and I have high expectations of my squads. Part of that combination is constantly pushing for my squads to be faster and better at everything, which requires me to delegate certain positions and decisions to other squad members from time to time as they enter better positions than me from which to make a call/act/react.
-Must be willing to learn and take constructive criticism
I'm always willing to learn more. Any "tempering" I can get is a bonus.
-(Optional) Special Commendation or Recommendation from a Superior
HALP!
I was asked to fill this out, does that count?
-Must apply for Leadership Promotion
^^
3) Why do you want a Promotion?
To continue to be challenged and get better. To further my involvement in training and organization of large scale divisions. I'd like input some more things and feel I've got something to contribute. And to get more training as a PL.
4) How active are you in recruiting new members for the outfit?
This'd be my weakest point on the app. I'd like to say it's due to when I play Planetside it tends to be during Ops, and not for lack of wanting. Something I'd like to work on before I even consider applying for anything after this.
5) Since you have entered Leadership what have you done to make TXR a better outfit?
I'm focused on moving our capabilities to the next level as often as possible (I'd still like to get the training going sooner than later for experimenting with some squad tactics). I'm extremely active on the forums in regards to both banter and game discussion, and contributing to the community. I contribute to outfit building activities outside of Planetside. I attend nearly every outfit activity and rarely miss an event. I'm extremely objective focused and try to move other players to do the same. I want the outfit to advance and improve constantly, and I think that drive is one of the most important things I can bring to the outfit.
6) What rank would you love to see yourself in eventually?
I'm focused on the next step. I'll work until I feel I'm ready for the next step, and once I get there, I'll focus on the one after that. I enjoy the challenge and I enjoy proving myself to myself. I'm not sure where I see myself eventually, but I'm also not too worried about where I'll be eventually. Just keep trying to move up and get better.
7) What ideas do you have to make Total Recoil better?
I still want to see us running not only new recruit training/general training, which is happening in an excellent way, but also running an advanced training. As I've said, I want to see our players challenged, and our abilities stretched.
To this effect I'd like to see us do an organized squad tactics session that I'd be willing to lead/co-lead/be a part of. Breach and clear maneuvers, bounding cover, proper open point assaults, fire teams, and experimentation with Planetside specific tactics. I envision this as an R&D department almost, a group of extremely disciplined players willing to try new tactics, see things from different angles, and execute tactics that require extreme organized action and synchronized execution.
Training would consist of one/two practice sessions a week depending on numbers/availability, and would be partially training in coordination on new tactics and existing tactics to perfect them (Starting in VR to get just actions and maneuvers down, and from there transitioning into a combat roll). The second part of training would consist of experimentation and ideas from all attendees. The ideal is similar to the original British Commandos, who received a goal that they were asked to achieve and left up to their own ends to achieve it. I'd like creative approaches to solving combat problems.
This is a rough draft, but the general drift of what I'd like to do in most things is something to this effect. I'd like to see us continually pushing. This may mean we fail more than we succeed with finding useful tactics, but one new tactic or method is invaluable in my mind.
Also, I'd like quick debriefs post ops to figure out what we should improve on as an outfit. (IE A did well, could be better, and improve immediately for each op). Even the most casual player I think would love a sense of personal direction in how they can get better, and how they contributed to the success of the op.
