We are already playing. Using a modification of DayZ called Breaking Point. Fairly small additional download. Adds a bunch of stuff. Thus far it was myself, Wrex, Snealix, Carnifex, and Cuddles(?). We managed to get a few fairly decent weapons and make our way up northeast past the NE airfield if I remember correctly. I intended to do a write up (story time) as we had a few really intense/funny moments, but I got called in to work. But ya, we're already playing. TXR DayZ is a thing now, and thus far we've only accidentally shot each other twice, and killed each other once. I think Wrex(?) got shot at least 3 times, and we navigated through more than a few bandit infested fields while taking fire. We can be the heroes Day Z deserves, just not the heroes it needs.

What if we chose a server that TxR members can join. That way we have one place to go for our dayz medication

Alright. This is the most current Breaking Point launcher/installer. It's currently in a .7z as the forum doesn't allow larger than 1 mb files. Extracted it should be just under 3mb. Attachments:BreakingPoint.7z (920.17 KB)

That would be bubbles not cuddles. And yes, I have eaten more bullets than anyone else so far and lived. Those coltorl did shoot me up while I was trying to get someone because he thought it was a great idea to shoot a guy who we were trying to be friendly with. So bubbles, I believe snealix and the guy started shooting at coltorl and then he kill me.

I see what you did there. TarZ.
So, Method, Falken, and I are playing so far. Bubbles was talking about picking it up after Christmas. I think Wrex is the same?
Join us. It's been really good so far, lots of nice changes. Feels like EARLY DayZ, which was always my favorite. Less shoot on sight, more tense situations and drama.

I'm gunna use this thread to update our adventures and log off locations/general areas so we can stick together.
Method, we moved north from Cherno, and logged off north west of Zub/southeast of Vyshnoye. I think the plan will be to hit the military base north west of us before hitting the NW airfield.
Also, food up. And rice can be eaten uncooked, and seems to last a long time.

I am thinking about getting it, I really would like a PvP, survival if people are playing anymore. There is something about DayZ being early access right now, is it something new, or just more advertising? What games do I need to get to run it? Just DayZ or some Arma stuff as well?

Heh, I have it. Haven't downloaded it yet, but I have it. WarThunder has been taking up my time lately. DayZ standalone is just it. Nothing else needed unless there are mods for DayZ that people are using. Arma3 runs on the Arma Engine v3 essentially. DayZ is running on v2.5 from what I remember.

The Arma 2 mod has tons of people on, especially the Epoch mod. However, I stopped playing due to the hackers. I haven't played the standalone, but the last I heard it had no anti-cheat, no vehicles, and loads of bugs. The Arma 3 mod looks pretty awesome though(it has hordes of zombies), but I don't know anything about it's current state.
