Total Recoil is an outfit intended for players who can adhere to a basic social contract. It is important for us to recruit members who will fit into our outfit culture, and maintain the standards we set for ourselves. For your membership to be considered, you must be 18 or older. Members as young as 16 may be considered at the discretion of leadership, but an interview will be required before your application can be reviewed. All players, regardless of age, will be held to these community standards.
We use TeamSpeak as our primary means of outfit communication. Whether playing a game as an outfit, or just hanging out, all members will need a working microphone to fully participate in our outfit activities.
All members of Total Recoil will commit to doing the following at all times:
1. Treat all players, friend or enemy, with civility and respect.
2. Any disagreements within the outfit will be settled OUTSIDE public channels, including TeamSpeak and the forums. You will communicate privately (pokes, messages, emails, etc.) so that you will not disrupt the activities of others.
3. Actions that result in others' gaming experiences to be degraded, including intentional team killing, griefing, or trolling, will NOT be tolerated under ANY circumstances. Public retaliation against these actions will also not be tolerated.
4. If you accidentally do something to degrade another players' experience, APOLOGIZE. It is not considered accidental if the actions are frequent/repeated.
5. Joining in on any outfit activity is never required. If you do join in, however, you will be subject to the conventions set out by those leading the activity. In squad-based games like Planetside 2, Natural Selection 2, etc. this means working cooperatively under whatever leadership hierarchy is specific to that game. In sandbox games like Minecraft or Garys Mod this means following the guidelines of the server admins. If you have any questions regarding the rules for a particular game or activity, please consult with those leading the activity. If you can not or will not follow the conventions of the activity as set out by those leading it you should not join and can be asked to leave the activity by those leading it.
6. Use of outfit-wide communications(TeamSpeak, in-game, etc) is for the benefit of all involved. Any actions that hinder communication (trolling, spamming, constant complaining, etc) will cease immediately upon request. Failure to cease the activity will result in a ban from use of outfit wide communications.
