Hey guys,
Bee Formulas we are talking about:
Sinister Bees = Modest + Cultivated Bees bred in the Nether (Hell*) or Tropical + Cultivated Bred in the Nether (Hell). Two of there 6 descendants, Demonic and Fiendish Bees require the nether environment to be bred.
Embittered Bees = Bees Naturally Found in the Nether. Like Sinister Bees, they are also one of the bees that attack players
Hero Bees: Valiant + Steadfast Bee bred in a Forest Biome. These "Good" Bees protect you from Mobs.
As some of you may know, I do alot with Forestry and Bee Breeding. As some of you may also know both Sinister and Takill have be trying to go down the Sinister, Nether Bee, and Hero Branches to get bees that attack players and bees that defend players. They also probably should look into the Tropical Bee Branch.
Sinister and Nether (aka Embittered) Bee Branches are the initial branches of Bees that attack both players and mobs who are not wearing very special expense bee cloths (Apiarist Cloths). I am not 100% sure, but I think a few of those "Evil" Bee Descendants do damage even with upper tier armor. Its something that I have not had a chance to look into.
Right now I have a bee apiary thing in the nether that is working on Embittered and Sinister Bees. I was also able to get a Steadfast Bee by trading with Snoggy.
\However, I forgot about the Forest Biome requirement of Hero Bees, so I messed up a little. I can probably fix it; however, I need to find a Forest Biome. Sadly I am not sure where the nearest Forest Biome is. I am not 100% certain how good the Bee Compass will be because it just shows me the nearest biome with Trees, not necessarily a default forest biome. (I think if I had a vanilla Steadfast bee again I could try the Habitat Locator on it and that might help.) Has anyone see a default Tree Biome in the Overworld?
.
*Hell the Forestry name of the Nether environment's temperature. It is also a Mystcraft Biome.
Also, I right now, I am working on a Vanilla Bee farm, so we have plenty of default vanilla drones. Ironically, I had a bit of a mutation problem with my second batch. The bees that came from farm created Iron Bees from just constant Wintry's and some other be from Watery, so I probably be out finding new Wintry Bees to put in. So if anyone has some Slow or Higher productivity Wintry Bees, I would be all for it for trading away these gosh darn Iron bees. They are a great source of your daily iron requirements.
