1. What kind of experience do you have leading?
I have experience leading clans/guilds/outfits in PS1 (Major, 101st Airborne), BF2 (Battalion XO, LRRP), World of Warcraft (titular head and co-leader, the House of Ghant). My responsibilities have ranged from small unit commander (squad-sized) to administrative over-seer for a two-company BF2 battalion. I worked my way up from Private to Major in a very strict military-style BF2 clan by offering to help out my leaders when they needed things done. Our WoW guild was tiny, but quickly gained a feared server-wide reputation for PvP in the battlegrounds and the open-world (RP-PvP server). I've also recently, successfully, called dozens of drops in Mechwarrior Online.
2. Why do you want to lead?
I didn't, at first. With a family, now, I didn't feel comfortable making a commitment. However, I've been having a lot of fun running squads and platoons the last few weeks and would like to step up.
3. How do you handle stress and heated situations?
Fairly well, I'd say. When in a leadership position I am typically too focused to have time to be upset.
4. Are you able to diffuse situations before they escalate into bigger problems?
Usually. I honestly don't remember the last time I really had a problem with anyone.
5. How is your experience with dealing with inter-outfit conflicts?
Honestly, limited. I've dabbled in some inter-outfit politics, but typically leave it to more interested parties. I typically devote the majority of my attention to my job within the outfit. Don't think I've ever been involved in a legitimate conflict. Maybe once in WoW after a fellow horde player used cartographer add-ons to betray us to the Alliance and semi-ruin a night of PvP, but that was as simple as black-listing that player and ignoring him.
6. How would you rate your strategic knowledge of Planet Side 2?
Mediocre to decent. I could certainly improve, but I don't hear too much complaining about my tactics.
7. How would you describe your leadership ability out of 10
7-8. I like to think I'm a natural leader, but I might just be naturally bossy.
8. What are your biggest contributions you can bring as a leader to TXR?
I favor aggressive, mobile, tactics that are typically somewhat unexpected. I can typically be expected to volunteer to take a good amount of the pressure off other leaders when needed.
9. How do you feel TXR can benefit from you being in a leadership position?
I'm an experienced commander with a varied skill set who is willing to help out when needed and I know when to keep my mouth shut when I'm not needed.
10. Do you understand the responsibilities that come with TXR leadership?
I believe I do.
