After the match a few guys were saying that the team needs to work on their personal play. Well this is where I got good enough to hold my own. Northpoint Station, Esamir on Test Server with friends and outfit members. The bridges at Northpoint are identical no matter what side you are on and are perfect for practicing gunplay. These bridges work for up to 4v4s in my experience after that you need to go to an Anvari subbase or Geothermal something or another.
Rules I generally go by
Rules I generally go by
- We will go in rounds. These are meant to be less than 2 minutes and take 45 seconds to setup at most.
- All players start on their respective sides of the bridge. Not in the middle.
- Everyone fights on the same bridge unless specified otherwise before hand.
- All Players must stay on the bridge.
- No shooting the other team before the round starts.
- One side will call out "ready" in /yell and the other will respond with "go" in /yell to start the match.
- Once all enemy players are down the round ends and the winner goes back to rearm/heal.
- Medic revives are fine.
- No Max units.
- Specialty grenades are a grey area.
- All explosives are okay to use.
- No base AV turrets.
I think that is all of the rules.
HERE IS THE MAP
I used to do this with some of the MERC guys after their Monday night Test Server practice. These rounds are meant to be fun, competitive, and fast. They are not meant to simulate anything in-game. The combat is different from in-game because it is funneled, but the way the bridges are you'll deal with medium and short range infantry combat which is what you'll encounter in PAL.
Anyways, if any of you want to practice your gunplay, or just have some fun hit me up with a /tell in-game or ask me on TS and I'll try and set up a game. The more people that play, the more fun the game.
