1. Explain how do you meet the following requirements:
-Must be in the Outfit for at least two months
I've been an active member for over a year.
-Must be at least Specialist Rank
Ive been a Specialist Rank for over 8 months and NCO for 3-4 months
-Takes initiative to Squad/Platoon Lead when available
-I often take initiative leading squads and platoons when im on.
-Must Start Certing into Squad Beacon
Yes, with command chat and smoke signals
-Works well with peers
I believe so.
-Demonstrates a working knowledge of game mechanics and strategy
- I've lead very successful mission and alerts
-Must be willing to learn and take constructive criticism
- I'm always taking input from other members of the outfit.
2. Why do you want to lead? What motivates you?
I lead, because i like to. When i get on i see someone who lacks leadership experience and or no one is really leading and the game is boring without direction and teamwork.
3. Why should we trust you with our Squads/Platoons?
I have past experience leading our outfit to victory
4. How do you handle stress and heated situations?
When im leading and im faced with stressful or heated situations if play play related (IE we are getting our ass kick) I'll often ask the outfit where they would like to go and consider it an option. If person related I remind them its just a game and or they are adults and need to stop being a retard. (although i havent had any real issues with this) I base the issues of peer to peer off respect and focus on them atleast having respect for the other TXR member.
5. Are you able to diffuse situations before they escalate into bigger problems?
See above
6. How is your experience with dealing with inter-outfit conflicts?
See above
7. How would you rate your strategic knowledge of Planet Side 2?
in depth, I have knowledge of good counters, TxR trademark redeployment tactic(s) and a strong understanding of planetside 2's terrain layout
8. How would you describe your leadership ability out of 10
7.3, because I have learned alot over the year playing with TxR and leading, when i start i feel i was closer to 5, but i know have confident and understand that I have to commit to the orders i gave, while at the same time understanding the battlefield and adjusting accordingly. Its better to be confident and make a bad call then to be fearful and be indecisive.
9. What are your biggest contributions you can bring as a leader to TXR?
To be frank, TxR needs more leaders while to lead a squad/platoon. And i have experience, im well known among the members and although they in a casual setting rag on me, when im leading they give me full respect and attention.
10. How do you feel TXR can benefit from you being in a leadership position?
I offer my time and experince leading.
11. Have you ever been a Guild(Clan, Outfit, Corporation, etc. pending on your gaming history) Leader, Officer, or a Event Organizer?
I was a guild leader in WoW, on laughing skull of about 200 members, We were a leveling guild and after a while many of out members when on to be in some of the top guilds on the server. I also have experince leading a guild in SWTOR (sith) of about 100 members. I have in TxR been an NCO for a few months.
12. TXR Troopers have been taunting a fellow TXR for being a Brony, This Trooper has had enough and chosen to retaliate by team killing, not only fellow TXR but allied TR, even going as far as selling us out to the enemy. How do you deal with this situation? Why do you choose this path?
This is unacceptable, because every TxR member represents our outfit. I would give them a warning, telling them to stop team killing, id also have the troopers taunting him to stop, with both a command over Team speak address everyone to knock it off and that its enough. Then I would personal message the person taunt the fellow TXR member to stop and that they have crossed the line. For the person TKing i would also Personal message them telling them to stop and that they need to grow up. If he continues to TK and cause problems id give one one final warning after which i would get ahold of a high ranking officer and relay the situation to him.
13. Every Field Commander has there preference in battle strategy - Offensive, Defensive, Guerrilla play styles, or Infantry, Armor, Air force favorites. What’s your command style and why?
I would say its a toss up between defensive quick response to areas needing more TR and "clutch" saves and with the new gal squad spawn, quick air redeployment hot drops on to targets. With a few members going mossys
14. Communications have broken down in your Platoon, the order to “Clear Comms” has been ignored and casual conversation is persisting, The battle your Platoon is in is very intense, your force is on the verge of defeat. What action do you take to convince people to get tactical and fight rather then talk?
I would use waypoints to guide the platoon, this is a case were some players want to be casual and some want to be more focused. So i would try and cater to both. I would give out orders over TS as well as in game. I would also tell them TXR members who want to be more causal that they should move to another channel in TS. If things reach a point of utter chaos i would ask those who want to be more serious to move into another channel with me and id lead us from there. Give orders over in game coms for those that are in the other channel as well as in TS for those who want to be more serious. Because you do have to cater to both end of the spectrum, thats why so many love TxR because we have a great blend of casual and serious gamers.
16. Do you understand the responsibilities that come with TXR leadership?
Yes, your actions reflect the outfit above all normal members. They will be coming to you for issues and complains. Its a burden. But i think i can handle it.
- Sincerely,
Totalzone
