Last Monday it came to my attention that our loot distribution etiquette for coil... is non-existing.
Since I hate the point system I suggest that we establish a small, but fair system. Either: We make it you can only greed/need one item per turn and must pass on the other unless no one else claims to want that item.
OR
We set up a Main/sub class priority system. Where we get into a murky system that does work, but can get people agitated about choosing their second class.
The only reason I bring this up is because Koda Mas has DRG main and runs BLM for us. I have noticed he has been losing DRG drops to people that don't have DRG leveled nor have it as their main. Not saying "give him all the DRG things" but making it even-ground. I am also saying this because Brig grabbed both drops from T1 this week. Drg body/allag shield. Friggin Brig. <_<
Especially since we seem to only be clearing t1-3 regularly which is 4 drops. I know a few people have not gotten drops at all so far that should have gotten them. Of course I would like other input from those with low drops. (Obviously I'm fine. I've gotten plenty of drops for PLD)

Well... I think that all options are murky, if I'm honest. Most of the reason for some people getting few drops is the statistical probability of their items dropping. I'm all for fairness and balance, and try to find any opportunity for it when I see the loot list, but we have very little control over what the RNG gives us.
With the situation of Brig getting both T1 items, I have the Allagan Shield because no one wanted it last time it dropped (Brig was not with us, and he wanted it) and Koda said that his DRG is fully geared and didn't need the body. It's hard to argue if it should go to someone that has that job as their main, but does not need it for stats... or if it should go to someone else that has that job at 50, and will be fine for them because they aren't try to get the best possible gear for that job right now. I know that there are other people with multiple jobs at 50, so maybe the "pick a priority" idea would be best.
All I can say is that I hope Bard and caster stuff drops next week (after my gloves drop, of course : D)

Agreed, also I chose the Brig thing because I like picking on Brig (love you) and understand that situation was justified, but was more when a DRG accessory dropped in t2 and I think 4 people lotted on it. Forgot who obtained it, but it wasn't anyone with DRG mained or subbed. However, my intent with this post was more of being considerate to others in Coil because of RNG. I imagine being frustrated with RNG -and- then dealing with others lotting what they don't need is more frustrating.

I'm fine with either the one lot per turn system or the main/sub lotting system. And I did feel bad about getting both drops on turn 1 on Monday. My thoughts for lotting were I'll lot on both and maybe I'll get one. And then when I got them both.....crap lol. And that's why in turn 2 I passed on the drops because as far as I'm concerned I feel like one drop per run is good. I want to spread the wealth and let other peeps get stuff too. Which is really why I felt bad when both shield and body dropped to me. But we can discuss updated our lotting rules before Mondays run and figure something out ^^d

All good man- happens and it wasn't a big problem for that situation at all. No one wanted the shield and no one needed the body. Agreed that we do need to discuss a little about it though. Would like to setup a meeting for us about that and a few other things. More of a friendly community meeting than anything. I'm free Sunday afternoon. Would like to see: Brigs ColonelCuddles Enkidu Myself And 1 or 2 THK representatives.
If you have a topic you would like to discuss please post it here or PM me via Forums. Also, with your best timing. Will update later with topics I would like to cover.
