As TxR is going to join in both CC & PAL, i strongly suggest everyone in TxR, especially competitive players to join in this pick-up scrim. Here's the link to the reddit post: www.reddit.com/r/Planetside/comments/1t1eeg/community_pickup_games_ps2pickup_weekend_4/They also have outfit pickup scrim on saturday in which i really hope we could gather enough people to do 12 v 12 fight against other outfit or pickup scrim. From what i saw from the stream that serh0 did once, most of the players that joined were good players coming from top outfits in both US and EU. So, please do come and have some fun

I strongly encouraged everyone to get involved in this. TxR organization and teamwork is top notch. To put us over the top, we're could tighten up our twitch skills. No better way than to play with the caliber of players that will be at these events.

I did the pick up today with Laist, and I would encourage all competitive players to join in. The average individual skill level of players is very high, and it is very much worth your time. Do not feel intimated to join as the setting is casual, and everyone is generally very nice. It is a great way to get a feel of competitive play style across numerous bases.
All you have to do is show up on the stated TS, before the posted time, and chill in the waiting lounge to be assigned a random team.
Another reason to join is that a PS 2 dev is always in attendance, setting up bases as well as playing. Its an intimate setting to chat with the Devs and learn a little from the inside about how the game is managed. It is also helpful for the devs, as they report any crashes or issues experienced directly up the food chain. Dev Burress explained today that several crashes have been discovered before go live due to these scrims.
The composition of players is mostly European, which provides an interesting perspective towards how folks play PS 2 across the pond.
I will be attempting to attend at least one scrim a week. I will hop onto our TS before the matches, to drum up interest for anyone wishing to attend with me and Laist.
MAKE SURE you have all three faction test characters created, as factions used is different session to session. Another great way to learn other faction loadouts from competitive players. Know your enemy.
ALSO it's PAL rules. So it is infantry only. NO shotguns, empire specific weapons (chaingun/lasher), under barrels, Maxes, or recon darts/motion detectors

Right now, they're doing the scrim every saturday starting around 2.15 PM PST. Even after weeks playing with some INI elites, I find it extremely hard to win 1v1 infantry engagement. The setup of the scrim won't be too competitive or too casual but like forty said, it's a very good place just to train with your personal skills
